Neil Savory – Principal

With over 35 years spent in acoustic design and manufacturing Neil has a wealth of knowledge of most aspects of the design and implementation of acoustic treatments. This unique combination of technical design and manufacturing experience leads to practical solutions that are based on the knowledge what works and what doesn’t. The manufacturing experience also gives insights into what are cost-effective solutions.

Neil has been working in acoustic consulting, design and manufacturing since 1987. The early years were working as an acoustic consultant at Marshall Day Acoustics for 7 years gaining experience in architectural, mechanical and environmental acoustics. In 1994 he joined the then called Noise Control Services (later renamed to NCS Acoustics). Neil spent the next 28 years at NCS working on a vast number of varying projects from jet engine test cells, large commercial buildings to product development and testing.

In the 28 years at NCS, Neil became the managing director and owner of the business overseeing the day to day running and strategic goals of a company of 20-30 employees. Neil sold the business in 2017 and remained in the business until 2022 while also taking some time off to do some building projects at home.

Looking for a new challenge, Neil started Savory Acoustics Limited in 2022.

Neil is married with two daughters, a dog, two cats and six sheep. He enjoys boating, fishing, windsurfing and cycling.
